Pink, daisy like flowers proliferate on this dwarf perennial which is perfect for banks, rockeries and low borders. Great for mass plantings, providing a spectacular show. Grows well in full sunlight and dry situations and will bind sandy soils. Withstands light frosts.

GREVILLEA evansiana Ned Kelly
A striking shrub, attractive to birds, with large orange to red flowers appearing almost year round. Provides great colour when used in mass plantings on banks or in borders. Will grow in dry areas and withstand mild frosts.

GREVILLEA juniperina Prostrate Yellow
A beautiful ground cover grevillea, showing yellow spider flowers for most of the year. Provides great colour when used in mass plantings on banks, borders or in rockeries. Easy to grow, surviving in dry areas and withstanding mild frosts and coastal conditions. Avoid wet sites.

HEBE Mary Antoinette
Attractive spreading shrub producing dainty flowers spring to late autumn, opening cerise and shading through pink to white. Great mass planted or used as a small, clipped hedge. HYDRANGEA macrophylla Blue Wave
A medium sized shrub with big heads of showy summer flowers surrounded by large, blue to pinkish florets. Lovely in a border or under large trees. For larger flower heads, feed and prune in late winter. Takes sun or shade but flowers last longer in shade; needs well drained soil with adequate summer moisture. For good blue flowering apply acid or aluminium sulphate fertiliser.

HYDRANGEA macrophylla Mrs Kumiko (PVR)
A small shrub smothered in big soft pink summer flowers with frilly margins. Use in pots, borders and for underplanting large trees. For larger flower heads, feed and prune in late winter. KNIGHTIA excelsa - Rewarewa, NZ Honeysuckle
Forms a tall (15m+), slender, poplar-like tree with long, toothed, coarse leaves and showy reddish-brown and yellow flowers which attract tui, bellbird, silvereye and bees in late spring/early summer. Grows in full sun or part shade, and takes wind and coastal conditions. Avoid waterlogged soils and protect from frost when young.

MAGNOLIA grandiflora Little Gem
Compact, pyramidal shaped tree with large shiny leaves and lots of big, creamy summer flowers from an early age. Grows in most soils; hardy to frost and most wind. Although called 'Little Gem' this cultivar is still a big growing tree, some specimens reaching 8m in 10 years. Flowers are smaller than those of the species grandiflora. Ideal specimen or drive liner, at 5 to 10m spacing.

MAGNOLIA kobus - Japanese Magnolia
Hardy Japanese magnolia forming a large, low-branched spreading tree. Starry 10cm flowers, creamy white and faintly stained purple, appear on the naked branches in spring. Plant in free-draining soil, protect from strong winds, mulch to retain moisture and avoid disturbing roots. Topdress with acid fertiliser.
